Whatever your intent or whatever your field of social work interest, the organizations below should be able to provide comprehensive information and solutions for your quest.

National Association of Social Workers:  One of, if not the premier organization setting standards and providing vast resources for social workers in the U.S.

American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work: This organization sets the standards, nationwide, concerning all matters pertaining to clinical social work. It is a credentialling agency for clinicians in numerous fields.

Council on Social Work Education: This organization is recognized as the only accrediting agency for social work education in the U.S.

Association of Oncology Social Work: This non profit organization is focused on people and their families dealing with cancer. The emotional issues that arise can be enormously damaging. The AOSW works to calm the fears and work through the barriers to effective treatment and follow up.

Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care: Focusing on psychosocial aspects of social health care, this organization works to ensure the availability of specialized advocacy for all types of medical treatment for the poor and physically and mentally challenged. 

Society for Social Work and Research: An autonomous organization founded in 1994. This organization, while self supported and managed works with numerous organizations to improve research for social work.

American Sociological Association: This non profit organization is dedicated to advancing scientific sociology to maximize its benefit to public service.
